Religion, Faith & Interfaith dialogue

We firmly believe that each individual has the right to choose their religion and faith should they wish to adopt one. Should they wish to do so we believe that individuals can benefit from gaining a greater understanding of their religion and faith as well as those to deepen their sense of belonging and transform conflict in a positive manner particularly since there is often more that can be found in common between religions than the differences that are often cited by extremist groups that then can fuel violent conflict between people of them. In addition, we recognize that many people choose science and/or non-belief in the divine but appreciate that conflicts can arise between those who choose to believe in god and those that do not. We aim to support all people to share their views on religion, faith and interfaith dialogue in a manner that positively enables and promotes opportunity for debate and discussion for understanding.

In sum, the Foundation works to support people to gain opportunity to deepen their understanding of their belief and that of each others through learning and development initiatives that include facilitating opportunities to visit religious centres. We also aim to support the development of religious infrastructure by providing capacity building support to such centres in order to develop the skills of religious leaders to be able to promote understanding between their religion and faith and those of others.
